Cleveland State’s Midnight Madness Dunk Contest Features Impressive Aerial Display
Cleveland State head coach said all offseason he was bringing more altheticism to the Vikings program this season and it looks like he has delivered on his promise. Two high flying Viking freshman stole the show in the Midnight Madness Dunk contest held last evening at Woodling Gym. Ike Nwamu was victorious with a series of high flying slam dunks. Nwamu had a reputation to uphold after going viral on YouTube for his high flying antics during his high school days in the basketball rich region of North Carolina. Marlin Mason held his own, and made the crowd hold their breath, when he leaped over a member of the womens basketball team while slamming a ball home. No Vikings were lost due to injury as the dunk proved to be successful and was a major crowd pleaser. Cleveland Central Catholic product Anton Grady showed impressive skills in the dunk contest and was joined by teammates Daundray Brown and Devon Long who showed their slamming skills in front of a packed house.
